The tree hiding spot is a given each year. It is easy and well completely lazy. It can’t be done last minute though .. take warning to that. You need to make sure you find a strong enough branch for your elf. You don’t want splattered elf on the ground come the next day! 😉
For the first time in seven years we had our tree up at the beginning of December. We got our tree right after Thanksgiving this year and the kids were sooooo excited. What happened 7 years ago that we had our tree up early then? That was the Christmas I was due with Sophie. Her due date was December 24th. We had everything done the minute after Thanksgiving … tree up, presents wrapped, cards written and waiting for a picture … we were on a roll. I have no idea how we did it all when I was working full time and Brian was still finishing his Masters degree. Oh and we had a one year old too. I guess it just happens.
This year we are enjoying our tree ALL MONTH. I love the glow it has in the morning and the evenings. You can even see some our favorite ornaments on the tree. Sophie insisted on the bead garland this year.
How is your elf doing? Hope you are ready to play along as we try to make it through the month! How does the The Elf on the Shelf work at your house? Check on where Kingston was this year with the Kingston 2014 tag here!
