As I said yesterday, we finally have up Christmas decorations! YAY!!! We even put the empty boxes away this morning … double YAY!! YAY!! As it tends to go the first day the tree is up, our Elf on the Shelf ends up in the tree. I love this day. It is easy. The kids seem to forget this laziness in our Elf on the Self tradition. They had a hard time finding him here this morning …
Brian put him near the top of the tree but near a Santa Claus ornament. Very creative, honey.

Sophie is excited the Christmas decorations are all up for her birthday. I am excited she can stop asking me if they will be up for her birthday. (Her birthday is Wednesday of next week!)
As I was writing this, I asked Brian if the dear Elf on the Shelf was moved for tomorrow. The answer was no but he went and moved him. Is a triple YAY too much for being ahead of the game? OK, maybe too much with a triple YAY!
For now we are headed to bed. We are expecting snow and ice tomorrow so we will see how long we have power here. If we miss an Elf on the Shelf, assume we don’t have power and send us water.
