We have come to the end of our ambassador program with the Just Dance Just Sweat Dream Team. I has been fun sharing our experience with the game with all of you over the past several weeks. Check out our before and after pics!
I had some lofty goals for myself over the course of the program. Unfortunately, I had some problems reaching those goals as well. I was doing fine for the first month, but during one of my other exercise routines, I pulled my back. That put me out for the better part of a week. Then I got sick with some of this head cold stuff going around our area. Between the two, the lack of energy to do anything at all put me even further behind my goals.
All of that having been said, I can definitely feel the difference from when I was actively working out to now. Even after just a week or two with less activity, I feel more easily winded and it’s harder to keep up with the kids. Plus my weight has crept back up a little from not keeping the metabolism up. The big lesson here is to not overdo it. Slow, steady progress is going to get you a lot further than quick bursts followed by extended inactivity due to injury.
That is one of the reasons that I do enjoy the Just Sweat option in the Just Dance series. It lets you start slow, with 15 or 20 minutes of slower paced movements. You can move up when you are ready. It doesn’t throw you right to the wolves. Plus, it’s fun!! The greatest thing about it is getting active with the kids. If the sensor is having problems or your movements aren’t tracked perfectly, it’s easy to laugh it off when you see the kids just being silly.
Take a look at my update video below and make sure to check out our other Just Dance Just Sweat Dream Team 2014 updates.
That’s it from here. Remember to Just Dance, Just Sweat, and Just Have Fun!!
What experiences have you had with Just Dance? Have you been “sidelined” due to injury? How long did it take you to get back on track?
