I love the exhilaration of running. The freedom, the wind rushing through your hair as you pick up a little speed, and the relief when you finally finish that long run, completing a difficult challenge. You feel as though nothing can stop you!
Then something stops you! Pain! Back pain, knee pain, ankle pain, any pain really. Pills only block nerve receptors, hiding the pain and not helping you to find out what is really wrong. Not a friendly way to help your body or your budget. You would think that heat would help, but I found out recently that most of that pain is caused by inflammation and that inflammation is the leading cause of pain, in general. So heat only makes the underlying problem worse. I try to use ice packs on my neck or back, but I have three little problems. They are named Grace, Sophie, and Matthew. Have you ever tried icing yourself down while three little ones (Grace, the oldest, is 5) pine for your attention? It’s just not happening.
That’s why I’m happy that I recently found out about Nopalea (pronounced “no pah lay uh”), a wellness drink based on Nopal cactus fruit. The antioxidants in the drink are scientifically proven to reduce inflammation. On top of that, the idea of drinking a glass of juice to help my pain is definitely appealing as the kids often keep me from being able to ice down.
As a special bonus to the budget, you can try Nopalea by Trivita for free (only pay $9.95 for shipping) by calling 1-800-203-7063.
I hope you give it a try!

I tried running for a few weeks a few years ago. Every time I tried to get going, I’d hurt myself somehow. I think I’d better stick with indoor cardio LOL!

I’m seeing a chiropractor to help fix long term injuries. The keys to safe running are a good pair of shoes, the patience to start slowly, and the discipline to keep with a program. Sprinting right out of the gate is the best way to get yourself injured.
Good luck with the indoor cardio. Make sure not to get hurt doing that, too! LOL
