Friday Favorites is another almost weekly feature here at Simply Budgeted. The whole point of this feature is to share some of my favorite finds. Anything is game. Food. Cleaning supplies. Kid stuff. Garden favorites. Recipes. Anything that I really like and want to randomly post about. Reminder/Disclaimer/Whatever: Everything in Friday Favorites is something that I use and bought on my own.
Up this week …
Details …
Lulu’s older brother says she is too little to play with him. Her mama and papa are busy too, so Lulu has to make her own fun. This is a situation for Ladybug Girl!
Ladybug Girl saves ants in distress, jumps through shark-infested puddles, and even skips along the great dark twisty tree trunk—all by herself. It doesn’t matter what her brother says, Ladybug Girl is definitely not too little!
In this sweet and cheerful story by husband and wife team Jacky Davis and David Soman, one not-so-little girl discovers how to make some fun that is just her size, right in her own backyard.
My thoughts …
My oldest daughter saw this book at Sam’s Club one day. She wanted it sooo bad but I just wasn’t willing to pay Sam’s price for it.
She was lucky enough that the Easter bunny brought her this book and also realized that there is a WHOLE series of these books. The Easter bunny was generous and also brought her Ladybug Girl at the Beach, Ladybug Girl Loves…, and Ladybug Girl Dresses Up!. (The Easter bunny was into books instead of candy this year!)
She loves these books. I like that they are shorter in length but good for her almost five year old age. It seems that some books are still too long for her and her attention lost with a hundred words on each page.
So if you have an almost 5 year old or some one near that age, check these books out! Your little one will love them for sure!!
