Friday Favorites is another almost weekly feature here at Simply Living on a Budget. The whole point of this feature is to share some of my favorite finds. Anything is game. Food. Cleaning supplies. Kid stuff. Garden favorites. Recipes. Anything that I really like and want to randomly post about. Everything in Friday Favorites is something that I use and bought on my own.
Details …
This is a recipe written on a scrap of paper that I asked my mom for years ago. It is one of the best cookie cheats around!
1 cake mix … any flavor, any brand
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Mix-ins/toppings (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together well. Add nuts, raisins, chocolate chips, M&Ms, etc. Make into small balls on an ungreased baking sheet … add sprinkles now if you want them.
Bake 8-10 minutes. Add icing once cooled (optional).
My thoughts …
This is seriously one of the easiest cookie recipes along. The added bonus is you can make some awesome flavors with ease. For the preschool Valentine’s Day party, I made these with red velvet cake mix. The kids loved the red cookies and the moms couldn’t pass up a red velvet cake cookie!;)
The sprinkles are per direction of my kids. They are sprinkle addicts and I think will eat anything if it has sprinkles on it!;)

This is a great idea!!! It never crossed my mind to use cake mix for cookies. I love there lemon cake mix. I bet some lemon cookies would be refreshing for the summer.
