It is Mamavation Monday time again! What did I do last week? I didn’t met my workout goal at all last week. I did some major walking in my Earth Footwear shoes but no official workouts which honestly left me tired.
My challenge this week: I may take a break from Squeaky, my elliptical, this week. I know he will stare at me (that is his job after all!) Over the weekend, I finally admitted that I didn’t have a schedule for myself. I am an obsessive type of a person who thrives on schedules. Lack of schedules drive me slightly … OK very batty. With my current work assignments, my husband’s student teaching, and the schedule with the kids, there has been no schedule to my life. My time to do my stuff (blog, email, work out, tag for the consignment sale) isn’t scheduled. I have been lucky to just have it happen up until now. Well, it didn’t happen at all last week and that left me very frustrated. So my goal this week is to work out a schedule for some time to do my stuff. It won’t all be work out time but that will be there. If the schedule doesn’t happen this week, that is OK. I just need to know I am getting on to one again. Plus, it is suppose to be beautiful out here in VA this week so I am hoping to get in a few weeks. I know our loopy street with crappy …. errr, lovely VA mountain landscape will totally kick my butt … and legs … and take the wind right out of me but it would feel good.
Results so far: Once again, I am down 0 lbs since last Monday. I accept that after last week and we have stocked up on healthy snacks so I am sitting here eating my nasty yogurt (yes, it is still nasty but I am eating it. I really, really hate it but I am trying!) as I type. One of these days this nasty yogurt combined with all of these fruit, veggies, and granola-y snacks is going to pay off on the scale for me! I feel it come as my pants keep getting looser and looser!

You should try Special K honey nut bars. They are delicious and are only 90 calories. I know how nasty that yogurt can be.

Planning will help ease your mind a lot. Try flavoring your plain yogurt… perhaps some cinnamon and granola could do the trick.

That's great! I'm wondering what kind of yogurt you are eating. I stock up on the flavored Yoplait yogurts. I could eat those all day. Seriously! Good luck this coming week.

Pamela – I hate yogurt. The smell of yogurt makes me gag. It is nutty and crazy and stupid. So I have been getting the 100 calorie ones with cookies. I tell myself I am eating the cookies. It doesn't work at all but I eat them and it is good to get those yogurt bacteria in me. blah.

*snort* Ok, you made me laugh. I truly enjoy your love for the yogurt(ok, or your lack thereof)! Normally, I'd laugh at your schedule frustration if I hadn't noticed how bad I'm sucking this week w/o mine. You will do awesome! Enjoy the weather. Wave to Squeaky every once in a while so it feels loved!

Schedules can be really important – I know that my exercise has suffered greatly since my baby hasn't been sleeping well and I just don't have one at all.
Walking outside is a GREAT thing though – exercise and sunlight are two of the four natural serotonin builders, so it should really make you feel good!
