It is Mamavation Monday time again!I never realized that so many struggled with their soda drinking. I am still seeing comments and responses to the Two Week No Soda Challenge so I will once again leave that reference you here! I admit to having my soda this past week but it lasted several days instead of drinking it all at once. What did I do last week? I met my work out goal. My goal was to use my elliptical 3-5 times last week. I proud say I did five thirty minute sessions!
My challenge this week: The stare down challenge is working. Squeaky (my elliptical has a name, doesn’t yours?) is still in our bedroom staring at me and making me get in my work out times. I totally flopped on my water drinking last week. So my goal this week is to keep up my five thirty minute elliptical sessions and make sure I drink my water every day. My stretch goal is to try to get in a couple of balance ball workouts. I will see if I can get these in too. I used to love these workouts so I am hoping the stretching will help my soreness!
Results so far: I am down 0 lbs since last Monday. (Weigh ins for the work challenge are Mondays so I weigh in then.) Well I thought I felt slightly defeated by the scale last week. It sure isn’t my friend at all this week. I am so used to it ticking down, even if it is just one pound that not seeing it move at all was a big a bummer. I am hoping that my plan for this week keep me where I am (due to celebrations) or let me see a tick down next week.
Thanks to everyone for their support so far. These updates are keeping me on track for sure! If you are tired of reading them, too bad! They are going to keep coming!;)

Excellent post! I've been without my soda for about a month now. I had to stop cold turkey. It was very unpleasant for the first week but now it's not a big deal. I just be sure not to buy any so it's never in the house.

5 sessions is on the high-end, congrats again. I hope you see the scale results you want next week. You can work through this plateau.

Don't listen to the scale, you will see results if you keep up the hard work, the scale plays mind games with you don't let it get the best of you!

Way to go on your 5 times per week elliptical workout! Woohoo! I have the attention span of an infant when it comes to treadmills and ellipticals so I stick with EA Sports Active where it lets me do different stuff within the half hour.
But you're really doing a great job on your workout routine. Keep it up, girl! — @ImAHotMom

Sometimes the scale is a giant jerk. Good thing it's not your only source of encouragement! WE ARE! You're doing awesome. Keep it up, add a little strength training if you can!

I am so addicted to soda. I'm trying to kick the habit!

Every now and then I kick the soda habit, but it reels me back in. I've given up the diet soda at least – less chemicals and all that.

I'm impressed–thirty minutes is a long time on an elliptical!! I have a treadmill (dreadmill) that I use when the weather doesn't allow walking outside. I've started doing a mile on it each evening, just to add to my exercise regimen, which consists of walking 4 miles a day and doing a very short weight-lifting routine on alternate days. I hate lifting weights (!!) but know I should do it. Our weight machine is my "stare down challenge." It's too big to ignore! Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress!

Congrats to you! I am trying to get back into a regular exercise routine again and I have to say that all this shoveling snow here has me motivated.

You are doing great! Don't be concerned when it doesn't look like you are losing or are losing more slowly than you would like. Just keep on keeping on and it will happen.
