I am a little late in getting these up so my World Breastfeeding Week Reviews are extended past the actual World Breastfeeding Week. Don’t fret though because August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month!!
The next review in my queue is Lansinoh!
I use several Lansinoh products on a regular basis when I am breastfeeding. I will be up front from a budget stand point that Lansinoh products are more expensive than most other brands of the same products. So why do I use them? The quality is better and I have found that to be worth the price!
My budget saving tip … shop for Lansinoh products when they are on sale. I have found that Target and Babies ‘R Us put them on sale on a semi-regular basis. You have to look for the sales and be patient since they don’t happen all of the time. The sales are minimal in that they are only 10-15% off but an extra off is savings for you and money that stays in your pocket! So when I see the sales, I stock up. These items don’t expire so I just make room under my bathroom sink or in my bottle cupboard in the kitchen for extra boxes!
My favorite Lansinoh procducts are the:
* Disposable Nursing Pads and
* Breastmilk Storage Bags
The Lansinoh Disposable Nursing Pads are packaged individually which is great for tossing them in your pump bag, purse, or diaper bag. The shape of them also makes them less visible through your bra and clothing, in my opinion! There is also a waterproof layer that goes against your clothing to keep it dry (yes, some brands do NOT have this!!)
The Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags have an amazing double zipper seal. This seems simple but I haven’t found another bag with a seal as good as these. When you are storing your beyond precious milk in these bags, you need that extra confidence in your storage bags. The first time you lose some milk to a broken seal and stand in the kitchen crying, you will know why!! These bags also have a extra seal on them that you tear off when you open them that ensures they are sterile. This is a small thing but it does allow you to know you are putting your milk in a safe container! All that being said, I still recommend putting your breastmilk storage bag in another bag or a container when you get it out to thaw … no matter what brand. You don’t want to chance losing any of that milk that is worth its weight in gold to you and your baby!
As a reminder, don’t forget about my giveaways that are happening right now in honor of World Breastfeeding Week! There are a lot of ways to enter so take a minute to enter BOTH of them!
