The kids and I were in Walmart shopping on Saturday. As we got near the registers, they spotted Santa (the Free Walmart Santa as I named him). The next thing I knew, Grace was pulling Sophie over to see him. Well if they were going to see him, I figured I would see if Matthew would go too. Matthew had no interested in going over there until he found out Santa was giving out candy canes. Matthew was game for candy. Santa asked if I had a camera so I switched my iPhone over to camera since it was already in my hand and snapped one picture.
I was not pressing my luck with more than one picture. The kids then told Santa their one gift they would like from him for Christmas. There was no line and I didn’t have to spend $30 on a picture that is of sketchy quality anyway. Great, right? Then I saw the picture I got … yeah you can tell it is in Walmart.
Sure Matthew isn’t looking at me and Grace is a little goofy. Sophie is always ready for a picture. Bless her. These are my kids though. As I said, I wasn’t pushing my luck by taking ten or twenty pictures because for the first time EVER no one was crying!!!!
So I went and edited the picture and ended up with this … not bad for Free Walmart Santa, huh?
Oh and Free Walmart Santa had a REAL beard … he was better than some mall Santas I have seen! We are still debating if we will make a point to go see mall Santa with Brian but if by some chance we fail to make it, I won’t feel bad about it. I have my edited my Free Walmart Santa picture and while it isn’t perfect it is certainly my kids!
Do you go see Santa every year? How do your pictures fair? Leave me a comment and let me know your experiences or if you saw Free Walmart Santa at a Walmart near you!
