So here is where we admit that we don’t follow the Elf on the Shelf rules. Kingston just showed up today. Actually, he was lucky to show up today. We forgot about him AGAIN last night. So we made the rash decision that I would make sure the kids kept their eyes on the lovely (not really) Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! show they were glued to this morning while Brian quickly found a spot for dear Kingston. We then, of course, acted like he had been there all morning.
Here is Kingston visiting with our other guest, Jabbers. Jabbers is Sophie’s preschool class pet. Each child gets a weekend visit with Jabbers and this was Sophie’s weekend … errrr, six days with Jabbers.
Thankfully in that picture, Kingston was sitting up again! He was a bum and fell over just after lunch time. We told the kids he was napping because he was tired of watching them already. When they were outside playing, I re-positioned Kingston so he was sitting up again and they exclaimed that he was suddenly “awake again!” ::cough, cough:: YAY for Kingston waking up … that bum falling asleep in the middle of the day.
This is going to be the longest 30 days ever, isn’t it?
I don’t even know where 30 places to put him are … maybe I will have to look through the pictures from last year and recycle some places. Any suggestions? Where is your Elf on the Shelf (or Magic Elf)? Let me know … I need ideas … especially ones where Kingston won’t decide to sleep on the job! 😉
