I was introduced to stainlesscups.com recently. stainlesscups.com kindly sent me a complementary sampler pack of their product line!

If you are here you are probably looking for a safe, plastic alternative drinking cup.It was that very search that brought me to create the stainlesscups.com store. Like many other families, we were trying to limit our exposure to plastic and all of the chemicals and environmental issues that come with it. The problem was that I couldn’t find a reasonable option. So what’s a parent to do? Give her child a plastic cup and worry that harmful chemicals may be leaching into their drink or hand her 3 year old a breakable glass and hope for the best?! Our goal is provide you with that safe, earth friendly option that we are all searching for.

Stainless steel is a 100% recyclable material that lasts a lifetime. It is non toxic, lightweight, dishwasher safe and free of harmful chemicals. Undoubtedly you have heard all of the findings on the long list of health issues associated with the chemical BPA found in plastics. Stainless steel is free of BPA and other chemicals that can leach into your beverages. Even when used with hot liquids, stainless steel remains stable and won’t alter the taste of your drinks.
You’ll notice that all of our products are high quality, food safe 304 stainless steel. We intentionally don’t have painted logos or color on any of our products. No paint means no chemicals and no chance of anything chipping off and ending up in your drink. Our logos are engraved into the products for your safety. Our products are all dishwasher safe. The lids and tops on the baby bottles and water bottles must be hand washed. The plastic for the water bottle tops and the sippy tops is #5 PP and is BPA free. The nipples on the baby bottles are food grade silicone, also BPA free.

I was sent a sampler pack of the product line that included 4 small tumblers, 4 medium tumblers, 2 large straws, 2 small straws, 1 large water bottle with a loop top, 1 small water bottle with a sport top, a baby bottle top and a sippy spout. Where to start? This is a great alternative to our cupboard full of plastic cups. My husband’s comment was that it was nice that the cups kept his drink cold and so did the straw! I would have never thought of a stainless steel straw but they are great. My girls love drinking with straws so these will be a great money saver! The scoop on the small water bottle is … “that they grow with your child. They start out with the baby bottle top. The nipple is then replaced with the sippy spout and then they grow into the sport top.” How cool is that?! A bottle that keeps on living as your kiddo keeps growing! We all need those. Think about the cabinet space you could save with this system.

  1. I love the Stainless Steel Straws – a much more green option to disposable plastic straws. I would like to see them come with a flexible mini-brush to clean the inside (for people who hand wash like me!).

  34. I love the Stainless Steel Straws b/c they are just so unique and I feel like (in addition to being safer) they'd even be easier to clean well than heavy (reusable) plastic staws and CERTAINLY a better idea than glass (what/??) straws I've seen.

  43. Great idea! I'm thinking that, if stainless steel keeps drinks cold longer, maybe it would be good for say, ice cream bowls? Didn't see any there, so maybe that's a new product they could consider. But I love the cups and tumblers!

  87. I love the water bottle products on the website. It would be wonderful if they came with some type of string or clasp, something so you can attach it to your stroller/belt loop/backpack when walking or hiking. Maybe I missed that on the website, or maybe they could sell it as an accessory!
